*Isn’t One Enough?

I meant to update sometime along the week but I couldn’t find the time to actually type a blog and return comments. I did make some stuff, but no time to actually blog. This week wasn’t as busy as last week, but I had a couple of tests, they weren’t that bad. Though in history, I just completed the fourth half yoearly test. The first one was knowledge, 2 comprehension and writing task. Gosh isn’t one enough?

*The Joy of Selling

Recently, my dance school made us all sell boxes of chocolates. So yesterday morning I went to school with a box of caramello chocolate. People on my bus thought I wouldn’t be able to sell much because it was caramel. I thought so too after a while. Nobody wanted to buy a chocolate. By recess I only sold 7. (A box of chocolate had 24). Then after using some great advertising skills by my friends, we managed to sell around 5 more before class started. Then, it was lunch. I wasn’t really pleased. But then my friends bought some and then there were around 7 left. So my friend and I went around to the year 7s ’cause we knew that they would want to buy them and so they did. I sold them all after going around to 2 groups.

When I got home, my sister didn’t sell any of her box so she let me sell her box as well. So I showed up today with a brand new box of chocolate. I had to catch a train to school today. So when the train was moving, a school kid who was probably a senior at another school asked for a chocolate. After I got off, another kid asked me for a chocolate. Then somehow by recess I sold all of them! I love selling chocolates

I was looking through my files and I found 2 layouts I made ages ago and one of them was up on this site for one day and the other was never up and I really liked them. I might be putting up one of those layouts.

School has been really busy and tiring so I probably won’t be updating until next week or maybe if I feel like it tomorrow or on Sunday.

*Day by day, Tests & stress

Test. Test. Test. Test. Test. Test. Test…. when will they ever stop? There has not been a DAY when I’m not studying for tomorrow’s test or a DAY when there hasn’t been a test. Remember how I said that I’m going to have a test first day back? Well that one got canceled and that was the only day when there wasn’t a test. Everything has been so hectic has well. I had regional dance rehearsals or trying on the costumes, I also had to do cross country make-up laps since I missed them while being overseas. I had to run 3 laps then 4 but I did 4 laps first ’cause of some random reason. I spend most of my time studying tests on the bus or at recess because there has been so much to catch up on. So I’m really glad that it is finally weekend. Today, when I came home from school for the first time, I didn’t have to do any homework. Because everyday I have dance & piano so I normally try to squish all my homework before dance and/or piano but today, I just relaxed. Finally.

I have just two questions that I would to get answers on
Do you ever use anyone’s graphics for purposes such as school projects, forums etc. or do you only use the stuff you make?
and
What resources do you use from sites? (brushes, gradients, graphics etc.)
I came up with these questions because I was just lying on bed, trying to sleep, and I was thinking “What’s the point in ANYONE making graphics if people always make their own?” I mean, everyone involved with the “webdesigning” thing knows how to make a simple sign. Just make a new image and add some brushes, add some words and then your done. Why not use your own graphics instead of using others? I know, some people make graphics for fun, but is there any point in posting them up? So I’m asking if YOU actually use them. I tend to use graphics for forum, sometimes school projects and I used to put them on myspace/bebo.

I found from my downloads, that lots of people use BRUSHES. I would try to help, but I am no good at it. I cannot make brushes. Never. But I did use some of my brushes at some time before…

Sorry there hasn’t been much updates. I figured until I get the 2 questions answer, I don’t think I should make any graphics right now.
